My biggest challenge is finding a career path and then knowing what to study for that path. Everything in cybersecurity is certifcation based and there are a lot of them. Knowing which ones to go for and then knowing what jobs they apply to is very difficult for someone starting in the field.

The book references given to me and the honesty on where I am starting. Now that I know where I am starting I can better direct myself to the career path I want to follow thanks to Cybermentoring.

So far I have achieved my starting position and narrowed down how I will achieve my goals. I will start with SOC analyst, reading materials about networking, packet analysis, ports, SEIM, and the incident process as well as pursuing Security + and Blue team certication.
